Léanie Cardinal, a lawyer since 2016, joined Belleau Lapointe in 2021, armed with solid experience in civil and commercial litigation and class actions, acquired at a nationally and internationally recognized litigation, arbitration and insolvency boutique in Montreal. Léanie has also acted as legal counsel for a construction company, and represented numerous companies in occupational health and safety, as well as penal law matters.

Her practice focuses on class actions on behalf of plaintiffs in a variety of areas. She is particularly fond of cases that are real vehicles for access to justice, and corporate social responsibility and accountability. She brings a high level of savoir faire and an ability to manage large-scale cases efficiently and diligently. Thanks to her empathy, she approaches each case with a human vision, favoring clear communication adapted to the needs of her interlocutors.

In addition to being a rigorous writer and methodical strategist, she is currently completing a Master’s degree in administration (M.Sc.), enabling her to cultivate a unique strategic and organizational vision. She knows how to put it to good use in the context of class actions, which require the deployment of considerable project management skills.

Léanie stands out for her ability to quickly integrate complex legal and factual concepts, which she is able to popularize in a clear and accessible way thanks to her pedagogy, communication skills and great adaptability. Moreover, in 2023, she had the privilege of being a Professor at the École du Barreau, where she shared her passion for the law and her knowledge with the next generation of professionals.

Passionate about the performing arts, sports, and backpacking, Léanie leverages these personal experiences to inform and enhance her professional practice.
