On June 28, 2022, the Superior Court of Quebec authorized the institution of a class action instituted by Belleau Lapointe on behalf of Option consommateurs against Google LLC.

In this case, it is notably alleged that Google LLC is collecting and using the personal information of web users for commercial purposes without their prior and sufficient consent.

Any person who has used since June 22, 2017 any service offered by Google LLC that does not require a Google Account, such as Google Search or Google Maps, or any person who has browsed since June 22, 2017 a website using any of the tools offered by Google LLC, such as Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager or the “Sign in with Google” button could be a member of the proposed class.

If you are a member of the class action, we invite you to register to our mailing list to be informed of important developments in the file.
